Completing and Reviewing Elevation Certificates in the NFIP

About this event

Description: This course is a complete look at Elevation Certificates (EC’s). It explains when the form is used and how to correctly fill out the form. Some of the topics covered include section specific instructions and troubleshooting, an explanation of the building diagrams, common errors found on EC’s and correction options for those submitted with errors or violations. It also goes over how EC’s fit into the Letter of Map Change (LOMC) application process. This course emphasizes the importance of using EC’s in the floodplain development review process.

Instructor: Devin Prine, Environmental Program Specialist Trainee, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation
