About this event

Description:
In this webinar, Steve DiRienzo and Nelson Vaz, Warning Coordination Meteorologists at the Albany and NYC National Weather Service Offices, will provide their perspective on the resources local officials need: NWS extreme precipitation forecasts and services for event preparation and response. You will gain a better appreciation of the skill in predicting the unusual extreme rainfall events documented in Atlas 14, and the NWS forecasts and services that help local officials prepare and respond to these low probability but high impact events.

This event is free. Continuing education credits are not available.

Presenters: Nelson Vaz, Warning Coordination Meteorologist and Steve DiRienzo, Warning Coordination Meteorologist, National Weather Service Forecast Office
